Virginia Wine Tours – Saude Creek Vineyards, New Kent Winery, Gauthier Vineyard
Spend the day visiting some local wineries close to West Point and Rainbow Acres Campground.
Saude Creek Vineyards
Saude Creek is a privately owned and operated vineyard and winery located on the Pamunkey River in historic New Kent County, Virginia. The climate and mineral-rich clay soils of the Tidewater area contribute to our complex, food-friendly wines. Our site once boasted Frank’s Tavern, a colonial inn and public house for wayfarers riding between points north and west and the Colonial capitol of Williamsburg.

New Kent Winery opened in 2008 after eight years of planning and construction. It is built using reclaimed antique materials including pre-Civil War brick, century old railroad trusses and heart pine beams from 1852. We offer a tasting of exceptional wines created by our award winning winemaker, Tom Payette.

Gauthier Vineyard
Gauthier Vineyard is located on our 110-acre Fair Winds family farm in beautiful New Kent County. We are a new winery with our first offerings in 2014. Join us for a glass on our large covered winery veranda and enjoy horses playing in their paddocks and watch deer, beaver, ground hogs, rabbits and squirrels traverse the deep woods while bald eagles and red hawks soar overhead.
