Virginia is for lovers of camping. We have many family attractions, historical venues, music festivals, wine tours, water sports and amusement parks. Rainbow Acres Campground sits right in the middle of these activities. Situated along the banks of the Mattaponi river in King and Queen Courthouse, Rainbow Acres offers secluded, wonderfully shaded lots with river access.

Spend your vacation here fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating and relaxing around the campfire after a delicious meal. Bring your boat or personal watercraft(PWC) for miles of enjoyment on the pristine Mattaponi. There are games and crafts scheduled through out the summer for all ages. It’s a great place to bring the family!

We have 150 campsites – 135 with full hook-ups (water/electric/sewer) for RVs; 3 partial hook-ups (water/electric) for tents, pop-ups and RVs; 3 cabin sites; plus 12 primitive tent sites.

Reservations are not required, however we encourage you review the campground map and book online. If you arrive without a reservation, spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis (registration at the Campground Store is required to select a site and pay the appropriate nightly rental fee). There is a two-night minimum stay with a reservation (3 night minimum on Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend and Labor Day Weekend). To rent a campsite, you must be at least 18 years old. Maximum stay between April and October is two weeks.
